Ramps and Morels

Cycled to Wedge Co-op and picked up ramps from Wisconsin and some of these morels (from Oregon). It’s a short season.

Another soggy day. Waited at Sebastian Joe’s for a bus to take me to the library. Had to have ice cream, of course.

Walked in snow to buy ingredients for a Thai dish for dinner. I can travel via food to Thailand, a place with no snow.

Thought about Horst Rechelbacher over lunch in cafeteria of Aveda cosmetics factory. (He sold Aveda to Estée Lauder)

Picked up coffee at Sebastian Joes at end of run. Tomorrow’s a good day for ice cream: 25% discount when it’s < -10F.

At French Meadow Bakery/Cafe today, waiting for Cajun hashbrowns: the meal fortified me for a 4-hour business meeting.

First beer of 2014. New Year’s Day tradition: walk + lunch. Frigid weather = short walk.

My new favorite solo lunch spot: #taonaturalfoods. I feel virtuous after a delicious plate of veggies and brown rice.

Must be getting old. 4:00 p.m., met friends for dinner.

Lunch, today with a good friend at Egg and I. She and I have been getting together every other week for decades.
