1877 Flats

After meeting for a cuppa and cake, explored part of St. Paul’s West Seventh neighborhood. These lovely 1877 flats caught our attention.

Positively 4th Street mural, looking towards 4th Street, Dinkytown, on an urban hike today searching for traces of Bob Dylan in Minneapolis.

View, Guthrie Theater before “The Parchman Hour.” Freedom Riders in 1961, racial justice: we need to ask more of ourselves and our leaders.

Explored University Grove: architect-designed houses owned by university staff on land leased from the University of Minnesota.

We listened to Meryl Streep singing with gusto.

Dinner at the Dakota with Jane Monheit and Nicholas Payton.

Two friends and I raised the average age of the audience at a Bakken Trio concert at the local community center.

Walked past the Pillsbury A. In 1881 it was the world’s largest flour mill. It’s now artists’ lofts.

Walked past the Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture, on hiatus from being iconic while a new sculpture garden emerges.

It was time for a mindless summer movie.
