Looked at Edward Hopper’s paintings alongside the sketches he produced during the creative process. Walker Art Center.

Art hike, day 2, including extraordinary underground Chichu Museum: removing boundaries between art and architecture.

Inland Sea from my room at Benesse House Art Museum on Naoshima Island. Walked miles viewing art inside and outside.

Monday plan: Naoshima “art island” Inspired by a post at tofugu.com about staying in an “art site” with hotel rooms.

This afternoon, walked to St. Mark’s Cathedral for an organ recital: guest organist from UK played the rebuilt organ.

Dakota Jazz Club dinner and the always evolving style of Kurt Elling. Great voice, American songbook and beyond.
